One of the best recap sites online! Almost as exciting as the game last night...which I was at - all the way up in right field - watched the ball sail into the Pepsi Porch. Brilliant win!
Hey Joe, you're awesome dude! Artwork is fantastic, I've enjoyed every single one. The Ike Man Cometh! Is that a It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia reference? Cuz I love that show too haha
Just amazing art...please tell me you're fielding high-paying offers from the Post or the News (or hell, Newsday) to feature your work daily?? This reminds me of the sports art I remember loving from the late 70's...just spectacular - and it certainly is the very definition of a "labor of love". Again, I love this stuff so much....are any originals for sale for hard-working (read: barely middle-income) Met fans??
Thanks for the props Randy. It surely is a labor of love. Being a Mets fan you know how hard this can be some days. Sorry, No originals are for sale as they are all drawn in one small journal as you can see in the header picture. There may be a book at the end of the season.
And no, no one has made any offers. LOL
Thanks agin and thanks to you all for making this so special!
I never leave a comment on websites but I had to let you know how great your work here is. As a lifelong Mets fan I wanted to say thank you and count me in if you publish a book of these drawings. You say that you started this a few years ago - how far back do you go? Do you have other year's sketches available as a book? Online?
Hey Craig, Thanks. I've started these books every year for the last few years and get so frustrated that I just stop. But I will be putting pages from them up as "classics" on off days. Glad you're enjoying this.
Damn those Mets, but great blog Joe. Even as a Padre fan I check this blog every day, its really, really good.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kevin. I appreciate the respect!
ReplyDeletePeace

Was at the game. Ike looked at me after his bomb, winked and ran the bases.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I made it up but he hit the bomb.
Good enough for me.
Wow must have been some moment Eli!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blast from Davis!
ReplyDeleteHe is going to hit one over the Shea Bridge one day for sure.
Great stuff! I was hoping for a Mike and Ike combo, but Ike definitely deserves the lone spot! Man what a shot!
ReplyDeleteI love coming here every day to see this :)
